“A great way to learn about your country is to leave it.” ― Henry Rollins

Lo-Fi’s is excited to announce a collaboration with California nonprofit Hip Hop for Change titled “Pipeline to Positivity: International Inspiration.”

Where: Kaohsiung, Taiwan 【高雄,台灣】| When: August 11 - 19, 2024

Introducing our international hip-hop youth

exchange program!

This project provides a week-long artist/career development course guided by a selection of Department of State program alumni. Participants explore future roles as cultural and creative industry ambassadors. Activities include cultural site tours, introductory language lessons, multimedia production workshops, collaboration opportunities with international musicians + the Department of State and a recorded live performance. All participants leave the program with access to their packaged creative multimedia projects available to use for future promotions.

This summer, Lo-Fi & Hip Hop for Change took the tempo to Taiwan for the first-ever International Inspiration program: a cultural exchange opportunity exclusive to students of hip hop culture.

Hear some of the origins of the project from Lo-Fi cofounder Irie Givens as we gear up to open the treasure trove of deep cut content from our multitalented crew:

Big thanks to the We Are Family Foundation, Loud Crew Taiwan & Moonshot EdVentures for believing in the band!
